We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Coder to join our team in Louisville, KY. As an Inpatient Coder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of inpatient coding.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, with experience in ICD 10CM and ICD 10PCS diagnosis and procedure codes. You will be responsible for reviewing patient records, assigning accurate codes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Credentials: Graduate of an Accredited RHIA or RHIT Program with an associate or bachelor's degree; or AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist credential with 2 years of inpatient coding experience.
  • Skills: Knowledge of MS DRG Coding Classification Systems and experience with 3M encoder applications and electronic health records such as Epic, Meditech or Paragon.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Minimum of ONE or more of the following, required: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
