Medical Laboratory Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general testing within the analytical laboratory, including routine and specialized tests.
- Provide a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing and clinical relevance.
- Function in a self-directed manner and exhibit complex problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree required.
- MLS with ASCP certification, or MT/MLT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty ASCP certification in the assigned department required within 6 months of hire.
- 1 year related work experience preferred.
