Job Title: Hybrid Civil Engineering Group Manager (Transportation)

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Group Manager to lead our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with a focus on transportation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the transportation engineering group, overseeing project teams and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Develop and review construction documents and plans for highway and roadway projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and permitting requirements are met.
  • Utilize CADD software to create and refine design plans, ensuring geometric design meets industry standards.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site assessments and prepare reports on grading, drainage, and other project-related issues.
  • Ensure adherence to DOT and ITE standards in all transportation projects.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; PE license is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Strong expertise in transportation design, including geometric design and roadway construction.
  • Proficient in CADD software, with experience in Inroads and Microstation preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Knowledge of permitting processes, right-of-way acquisition, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Familiarity with drainage design, street lighting, and grading practices.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations such as ASHE is a plus.
