Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at The Residence at Glastonbury. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and courteous assistance to residents, visitors, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage front desk operations, including handling incoming telephone calls, greeting guests, and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as filing correspondence, sorting mail, and recording guest meal charges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including resident safety sheets and communication logs.
  • Coordinate front desk activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of operations.
  • Respond to emergency situations, contacting appropriate parties as needed.
  • Attend required training sessions and orientations to stay up-to-date on policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior reception experience in an office environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of telephone reception systems and techniques, with the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 15 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform other duties as required.
