Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications, determining project scope, and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
  • Develop and prepare conceptual estimates with minimal subcontractor assistance using limited preliminary design documents and information.
  • Review software-generated estimates for completion and technical accuracy, ensuring quality and integrity of bids.
  • Develop subcontractor interest in projects and manage the subcontractor RFP process.
  • Qualify and level subcontractors' proposals according to project specifics.
  • Itemize trade-specific scopes and prepare bid packages.
  • Assist project managers and schedulers with breaking out costs/invoices based on CLINs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field and at least 6 years of experience in estimating federal government construction contracts or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with Divisions 1-48 preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal government and commercial construction contracts, including the bidding processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to learn and understand new software and enterprise systems quickly.

  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonus.
