Job Summary

As a Host/Hostess with Bon Appetit, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your role will involve seating residents in the dining room, handling customer service situations, and promoting a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
  • Help create an enjoyable dining experience and promote a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and other associates.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience, and possess an interest in people.
  • Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
  • Supervise the activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling, and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Help train new food-service team members and supervise the closing of the assigned dining room.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and help evacuate guests to safety in the event of a fire or other emergency.
  • Assist with service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
  • May be asked to operate equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
  • Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties and during special events or functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
