Position Overview

As a Behavior Support Technician, you will work directly with children in a one-on-one setting, assisting them in developing communication skills, daily living skills, and social interactions through engaging play activities. You will operate under the guidance of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and implement tailored curricula based on formal assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to children with Autism in various settings, including home, school, and clinic.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapies as directed by supervising behavior analysts.
  • Collect and document accurate data during therapy sessions to track progress.
  • Maintain open communication with supervising analysts regarding therapy and data collection.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality protocols.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Be available to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, including at least three afternoons or evenings.
  • Complete the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification process within one month of joining our team, with all associated costs covered by Ocean Front Counseling.
  • Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Education & Experience

A preferred background includes a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as behavior analysis, special education, child development, or psychology, along with prior experience in a related role.
