The Anesthesia Support Specialist is an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team who works under the department of anesthesiology to assist the licensed anesthesia providers in various settings by providing support for routine surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean, sterilize, disinfect, stock, order and maintain the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Assist with anesthesia case setup and preparation.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, residents, and technicians to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the anesthesia team.
Experience: Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Licenses/Certifications:
Other: Ability to communicate effectively in English.
