As a Security Operations Engineer, you will engage in threat modeling, application security posture management, security orchestration, and vulnerability assessments to enhance the resilience of our organization and its product offerings.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee vulnerabilities and weaknesses in company products, assessing their criticality for effective prioritization and providing appropriate remediation, collaborating closely with product teams as a trusted advisor.
  • Conduct ongoing vulnerability monitoring, perform on-demand vulnerability scanning, and engage in various security testing activities.
  • Offer expertise to product teams and affiliates to address inquiries, pre-sales requests, contract negotiations, and other cybersecurity-related customer support.
  • Contribute to initiatives within the Diagnostic Division to integrate defense capabilities into the development of new products and in the maintenance and support of existing products in partnership with Product Support teams.
  • Design and automate technical workflows for investigations and assessments of cybersecurity vulnerabilities, facilitating the onboarding of new products in Vulnerability Monitoring and providing training to relevant stakeholders regarding Vulnerability Handling and Incident Response.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance processes, playbooks, and tools for Vulnerability Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Security Testing.
  • Promote security and privacy by fostering Security Champions across departments involved in product development and operations.
  • Maintain product security controls and awareness, supporting other PSPO Chapters (Solution Architecture, Product Support, and Compliance/Privacy).

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and cloud operations.

Essential Soft Skills:
Problem-solving, leadership, communication, teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability.

  • Collaborative team player, proactive, self-driven, solution-oriented, and hands-on.
  • Proven experience in cloud computing technologies and full-stack deployments.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (K8S), AWS or GCP, Docker, and other cloud-native tools.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton, or other common CI/CD toolchains.
  • Experience with Sigstore, Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), SLSA, and secure software supply chain management.
  • Ability to develop Terraform, K8S manifests, or other forms of infrastructure as code.
  • Capability to codify Rego or Cedar policies.
  • Experience with Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) tools (e.g., Checkmarx, Snyk, Mayhem, BurpSuite, ZAP, etc.).
  • Experience in automating security controls (e.g., shell scripting, Python).
  • In-depth knowledge of managing information security and privacy risks and conducting threat modeling.
  • Extensive experience in vulnerability handling before and after market launch.
  • Strong background in system and cloud infrastructure hardening.

Understanding of Industry Standards:
Familiarity with the ISO 27000 family and HITRUST.

  • A BA/BS in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous.

Certifications:
SANS GIAC (GCIH, GPEN, GCIA, GCFA, and others), CEH, CISSP, CISA, CISM, LA ISO27001 are beneficial.

Must be a U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.
