About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Resurgens Surgery Center, a single-specialty ambulatory surgical practice that prides itself on providing patients and their families with unrivaled, uncompromised, and excellent care and attention.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with operative procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring the sterility of all supplies and instruments.
  • Participate in emergency situations, demonstrating knowledge of specific responsibilities and ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
  • Assist the circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment, handling instruments, and gathering necessary surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts pre-operatively and intra-operatively with the circulating nurse.
  • Assist in keeping physician preference cards accurate and updated, and transport all surgical equipment to appropriate cleaning areas.
  • Interact effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality.
  • Comply with policies and procedures, and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a safe work and patient care environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of a Scrub Technician Certification Program.
  • One to two years of experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • State-specific criteria for licensure or certification.
