Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Maintenance of the Operating Room
- Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Stock and maintain adequate supplies for surgery, including instruments, equipment, and consumables.
- Instrument and Equipment Management
- Sterilize and prepare equipment and instruments for use during surgery.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and properly maintained.
- Patient Preparation and Support
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites, as required.
- Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies to the surgical team.
- Supply Management and Inventory
- Track and manage surgical supplies, ensuring accurate inventory levels and timely replenishment.
- Professional Development and Teamwork
- Stay up-to-date on the latest surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and other members of the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Education and Certification
- Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Technologist program.
- Active, unencumbered Certified Surgical Technologist state license.
- Experience and Skills
- Minimum of three years of current Certified Surgical Tech experience.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Additional Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination with two shots and booster.
