About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Carilion Clinic hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the delivery of individualized peri-operative registered nursing care under the supervision of a licensed physician or registered professional nurse.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, ensuring the team maintains a sterile environment.
  • Participate in surgical counts, adhering to policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to Policy and Procedures, all regulatory standards, and Patient Safety Goals.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Successfully completed an accredited surgical technologist training program and holds a current credential as a certified surgical technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or its successor.
  • LPN licensure required for grandfathered employees.
  • Obtain and/or maintain registration with the VA Dept of Health Professions.
