FREELANCE CONTENT WRITER/EDITOR FOR TAX AND ACCOUNTING


WebCE, Inc., a leading provider of training and educational resources for professionals, is in search of skilled freelance content writers to support our editorial teams in developing new online educational training materials and maintaining existing course content.


We are particularly interested in freelance course content creators who possess in-depth knowledge and experience in tax and accounting laws and regulations.


Please note: We are NOT looking for Blog, Article, or SEO Content Writers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and produce engaging online continuing education instructional content aimed at educating and training tax and accounting professionals, employing a casual yet professional tone and writing style.
  • Simplify complex tax and accounting concepts in a manner that is accessible and relevant to adult learners.
  • Develop interactive materials such as exercises, videos, quizzes, infographics, and case studies that are informative and promote learning retention.
  • Design content that aligns with tax and accounting course objectives, regulatory standards, and learner expectations as outlined by a WebCE Content Director.
  • Create assessment questions that accurately evaluate a learner's understanding of the course material.
  • Utilize WebCE's course templates and style guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the tax and accounting sector (as a licensee, writer, instructor, trainer, education director, course developer, etc.).
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in English, journalism, communications, law, or tax and accounting; professional qualifications or designations are advantageous.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • At least 7 years of experience in creating and developing online or text-based continuing education materials for professionals and adult learners is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in substantive content editing and writing is recommended.

Project Details

  • Projects are typically conducted under a formal work-for-hire agreement.
  • Compensation is generally structured on a flat fee, per-project basis.
  • All work is performed remotely from your home office.
