Job Title:
Classification Management Specialist - TSSCI Required

As a Classification Management Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the secure management of classified information within our Proprietary Business Unit. This includes receipt, custody, issue, safeguarding, accounting for, and destruction of program classified material.

You will maintain up-to-date records and submit required accounting reports, adhering to record retention policies and safeguarding information. You will interact with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties.

The successful candidate will support and enact all L3Harris policies, including the protection of intellectual property. They will provide classified information management support to our Strategic Missions Systems Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register classified hard and soft copy data material and update related records for program's use
  • Maintain a classified information tracking database and conduct an inventory annually of classified holdings
  • Ensure that all classified material shipped is packaged and shipped in compliance with the provisions
  • Receive, receipt for, and ensure the safeguarding and accounting for incoming and outgoing classified shipments
  • Perform routine destruction of classified material in accordance with customer requirements
  • Interface with Contract Program Security Officers (CPSOs) and other program support functions

Requirements:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

An active Top-Secret clearance is initially required with eligibility for SSBI to acquire Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) access along with the ability to maintain one.

Must voluntarily participate in the sponsors polygraph program.

Must be able to lift over 25lbs.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to deal with people at all levels of the organization, sometimes under stress
  • Possession or pursuit of 2-year degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Should be a self-starter with initiative, work independently and as a member of a team
