POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the customer service area of Redlands Auto Plaza. The Cashier will handle various financial transactions and provide exceptional service to our valued customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Professionally manage all incoming communications and direct them appropriately.
- Welcome and assist guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the customer service area.

  • Process and manage payments via cash, checks, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits for customers who have utilized our services.
  • Efficiently operate a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records as required.

Prepare various documents including memos, reports, and correspondence as necessary.

  • Utilize computer systems and software, along with office equipment such as fax machines, calculators, and photocopiers.
  • Support additional sales and service functions as directed by management.
  • Assist in welcoming sales and service customers as needed.
  • Help manage communications with sales and service customers as required.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- A minimum of one year of experience in a receptionist or cashier role is highly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to comprehend and execute both written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Proficient in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Capable of multitasking and performing well under pressure.
- Availability to work weekends and evenings is essential.

Exhibit excellent phone etiquette and maintain a professional appearance. The Cashier position offers a competitive pay scale, with hourly compensation ranging from $16.00 to $16.50.
