Madison, Wisconsin, United States U W-MADISON DIV. CONTINUING STUDIES Full time
Job Summary:

As a Clinical Radiology Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies, you will be responsible for the supervision of the clinical training of students. This role is crucial in describing instructional academic staff positions in the health sciences and other academic disciplines with clinical practices. Individuals appointed at this level may have qualifications and training comparable with faculty. Clinical titles must have approval of an academic department. Modified professorial functions have four prefixes or levels: Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. The specific definition of each level for professorial academic staff titles is left to the purview of each unit in which the title is employed. However, differences between successively higher title levels must reflect demonstrable differences in experience and knowledge gained, applied to the specific duties of the function.

Responsibilities:
  • Didactic, laboratory, and clinical teaching of veterinary medical students
  • Participation in patient care through diagnostic imaging using a variety of modalities, including radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, radiology imaging, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital
  • Supervision of residents and continuing education of veterinarians
Workload Distribution:

The distribution of time for clinical track is expected to be:

  • Clinical practice: 40-50%
  • Non-clinical teaching: 15%
  • Research: 30-40%
  • Service: 5%
