Job Title: Preschool Teacher

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and helping them develop essential skills for future success.

Job Summary:

The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities for pre-school aged children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and a passion for working with children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement daily lesson plans that meet federal performance standards and promote educational and enrichment activities for pre-school age children.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that meets the needs of all children.
  • Screen and assess children to determine developmental and educational needs and develop individual education plans that comply with federal performance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Participate in quality assurance efforts and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience teaching pre-school aged children.
  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds and provide physical assistance in the transportation of special needs children.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Background screening and drug testing.
