The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly qualified candidate for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Responsibilities- Design and implement curriculum for residents on the neurocritical care rotation
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows rotating through the intensive care units of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC)
- Participate in lectures, small groups, workshops, and/or simulation sessions
- Provide neurocritical care and general anesthesia at HUP and PPMC
- Lead the Division of Neurocritical Care across all three missions: Clinical, Education, and Research
- Recruit, support, and mentor faculty specializing in Neurocritical care within the division
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- ABA certification in anesthesiology
- Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license
- Fellowship training in neurocritical care and/or extensive experience in neurocritical care
- Prior leadership experience
- Record of successful teaching/mentorship
