We are seeking a highly skilled Audio-Visual Specialist to join our dynamic team at SPS North America Inc. As an AV Specialist, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing, and managing A/V systems and peripherals.
Key Responsibilities- AV System Management: Independently operate, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and manage A/V systems and peripherals.
- Pre-Meeting Checks: Perform daily morning checks of all conference rooms to proactively identify issues and ensure they are all in working order for the day's meetings.
- High-Profile Events: Own pre-meeting A/V checks for high-profile events as well as for VIP video meetings.
- AV Componentry: Troubleshoot, upgrade, and/or replace AV componentry.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate external vendor support when required.
- Performance Metrics: Fully meet key support performance metrics, such as trouble ticket SLAs.
- Incident Management: Full, complete, timely, and accurate incident management of application usage.
- Additional Work: Proactively seek out additional work during downtime.
- Customer Relationships: Build professional relationships with customers and other teams.
- Professionalism: Maintain professionalism and composure when interacting with all employees.
- Training and Guidance: Train back-up and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
- Sensitive Inquiries: Determine what additional support is needed when handling sensitive inquiries.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
- Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Experience: 3-5 years prior A/V work experience preferred.
- Certifications: Industry certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) preferred.
- Work Schedule: Hours: 8am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
- Communication: Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Current knowledge or ability to learn computer-based systems required for functions of position.
- Physical Demands: Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
- Lifting: Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently.
