Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of packaging projects, including design, testing, material selection, and equipment efficiency improvements.
  • Lead the packaging development process from concept to execution and launch.
  • Identify packaging trends and develop new concepts for retail, Club, and alternate channels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and explore innovative processes to enhance plant operations.
  • Identify and validate cost savings and sustainability opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering groups and stakeholders to introduce new equipment and technologies.
  • Partner with R&D, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales on projects.
  • Assist in the technology transfer process to operations.
  • Organize and supervise tests at production facilities.
  • Provide support for new product start-ups.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, or Packaging Engineering or a related field; some packaging experience is desirable.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment; experience in food production or other CPG environments is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 5%-10%).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Creative, innovative thinker with solid problem-solving abilities.
