Perioperative Nurse

The Perioperative Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients preoperatively and develop a plan of care for each patient
- Implement nursing actions during surgical interventions and evaluate outcomes
- Ensure patient records are complete with necessary pre-operative information
- Document patient care and outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain aseptic and sterilization techniques in the operating room
- Assist in the orientation and supervision of other personnel in the perioperative setting
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- At least two years of prior perioperative experience
- Current valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- National certification in areas of expertise (CNOR, CEN, CCRN, etc.) preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire
- ACLS and PALS certifications required prior to completion of orientation or within 6 months of hire
The Perioperative Nurse will work in a fast-paced operating room environment, requiring strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
