Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Technician to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a Health Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the maintenance of unit supplies, including stocking nurse servers, cleaning instruments and equipment, ordering supplies, and making up charts.
- Collect and document patient data as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN), ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Perform or assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, vital sign measurement, and meal preparation.
- Prepare patients for transportation and maintain patient safety as the highest priority.
- Complete and document basic patient care independently, including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and meal trays.
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and ensure effective triage and completion of patient requests.
