The Virginia Commonwealth University Health System seeks a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Clinician to join our team in the Ambulatory Care department. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to complex patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and treat complex patients and their responses to actual or potential health problems.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to prevent illness and injury, maintain wellness, and provide comfort.
- Provide direction, education, leadership, and accountability for program development, implementation, and evaluation in the area of responsibility.
- Manage human, fiscal, and other resources to ensure quality programs, processes, and services with measurable positive outcomes.
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
- 5 years of nursing experience required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in the position's specialty patient population or practice setting.
- Experience in staff education and professional development.
- Academic healthcare experience.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Must be enrolled in a Master's degree program at the time of application and must be complete within 36 months of hire.
- Will generally work day shift, but may require flexibility for special projects or to meet organization and staff needs.
- Able to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, and adapt to frequent change.
