Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat complex patients and their responses to actual or potential health problems.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to prevent illness and injury, maintain wellness, and provide comfort.
  • Provide direction, education, leadership, and accountability for program development, implementation, and evaluation in the area of responsibility.
  • Manage human, fiscal, and other resources to ensure quality programs, processes, and services with measurable positive outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
  • AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
  • 5 years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the position's specialty patient population or practice setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in staff education and professional development.
  • Academic healthcare experience.
Education/Training
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Must be enrolled in a Master's degree program at the time of application and must be complete within 36 months of hire.
Additional Requirements
  • Will generally work day shift, but may require flexibility for special projects or to meet organization and staff needs.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, and adapt to frequent change.
