Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of electrical and mechanical equipment. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair various types of electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, and manufacturing machinery.
2. Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
3. Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
4. Identify faulty operations and report any unusual situations to proper supervision.
5. Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, test, and make necessary adjustments.
6. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
7. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean and organized work areas.
8. Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, PLC controls, and wiring systems.
9. Utilize CMMS to track and document all maintenance activities.
10. Collaborate with team members to ensure production schedules are met and downtime is minimized.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a journeyman electrician in a manufacturing environment.
2. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
3. Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and hand/power tools.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
5. Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
6. Working knowledge of electrical systems including AC/DC, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC controls.
7. Experience with CMMS, conveyor systems, and machinery.
8. Licensed journeyman electrician highly preferred.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
11. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
12. Knowledge of basic plumbing.
13. Ability to understand and apply Ohm's law.
14. High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in electrical or mechanical fields is a plus.
