Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Therapist to join our team at Stanford Sierra Youth & Families. As a key member of our TBS team, you will work closely with children and their families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write clear, accurate, and timely progress notes consistent with each contact/visit
  • Participate in the development of individualized family plans with other members of the TBS team
  • Attend weekly staff meetings, consultation, and case management meetings as scheduled
  • Accountable for individual time management and develops and maintains positive relationships with agency and community programs
  • Utilize resources to implement behavior interventions and strategies, and forms positive, constructive relationships with children and their families
  • Identify strengths, skills, and positive qualities in children and families, and identifies temporary and sustainable resources and services within family and community environments
  • Observe and evaluate behavior, then completes a Functional Behavioral Analysis, and utilizes the Functional Behavioral Analysis to implement change programming
  • Records behavioral data to ensure accurate tracking of target behavior change, and makes recommendations to modify goals as indicated by behavioral data
  • Maintains accurate and timely records, and follows all agency policies and procedures, as well as all agency, State and Federal health and safety rules and regulations
  • Seeks out clinical information and advice as needed, accepts constructive feedback and reasonable recommendations from supervisor, and mentors new TBS Behavioral Analysts
  • Maintains ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the families, and performs all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values of agency, while adhering to applicable professional codes of ethics, the agency's policies and procedures, contractor requirements, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field AND at least 4 years of approved experience, OR Associates degree AND a minimum of 6 years of approved experience
  • Approved experience is experience that qualifies the applicant for Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) status in the County Children's Mental Health System of Care
  • Graduate education may be substituted for the experience on a year for year basis

We offer a competitive salary range of $30.00 DEO, as well as a $1,000 hiring bonus and an additional $1,500 Spanish speaking bonus. We are an at-will employer, and employment may be terminated at any time without cause or reason.
