Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Havis Inc. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process materials, and finished goods to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve quality-related issues and questions.
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, data, and other materials to determine specifications and inspection procedures.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, and work for conformance to specifications using appropriate instruments.
  • Record inspection or test data and mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
  • Reject products and materials not meeting specifications and assist in creating MRRs, CAPAs, and engineering change requests.
  • Discuss inspection results with production teams and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical Certification, a plus
  • Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations both one-on-one and in meetings
  • Experience using calipers, gauges, and related inspection equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawings
  • Must be detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and record keeping skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate professionally both inside and outside of the company by email and phone
  • Corrected 20/20 vision
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting and standing
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Our office and manufacturing facility is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals. You will be exposed to a variety of chemicals, dust, paint, and noise, and may be required to wear protective clothing and equipment.
