Responsibilities
Provides patient care including assisting with patient procedures and activities of daily living.
Assists with physical, respiratory, and cardiopulmonary therapies.
Provides feedback to the RN regarding patient care and reports changes in patient status.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of general healthcare experience or completion of a nursing program clinical rotation.
Successful completion of UPMC patient care technician class and basic information system training.
Preferred Qualifications
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification.
Completion of a basic arrhythmia course and annual competency.
