Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our medical device manufacturing client, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electro-mechanical medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement product design strategies
  • Establish schedules, budgets, and resource needs for projects
  • Develop system-level design strategies and refine components and sub-systems
  • Collaborate with electrical engineering, software engineering, and testing teams
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of hands-on product development experience in electro-mechanical consumer products
  • Experience creating designs for new products and leading teams as a lead engineer
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with customers
  • Medical device experience and understanding of ISO 60601
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing and SolidWorks
  • FEA experience
