Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting lifesaving blood donations at our fixed site locations. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your healthcare and customer service skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with your team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors.
  • Follow all safety procedures while collecting blood donations.
  • Take the time to personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand the impact of their donation.
Requirements
  • Associates degree or a combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting.
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record may be required.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
  • Prior leadership experience.
