Job Overview

Our company, originally established as a distributor of bulk rubber and conveyor parts, has evolved to offer comprehensive services including rubber fabrication and field installation.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with proficiency in welding, cutting, and alignment tasks. This role will require a combination of workshop duties and extensive travel to client locations, with travel expectations reaching up to 75%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems both in the workshop and at client sites.
  • Fabricate necessary components during maintenance or setup processes.
  • Understand conveyor dynamics and material handling principles.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and assemble equipment prior to installation.
  • Conduct start-up procedures and testing of machinery.
  • Interpret engineered blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Manage shutdown operations and rigging tasks.
  • Handle bearings, seals, and packing efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Document work processes and timelines accurately.
  • Experience in bulk material handling is advantageous.
  • Perform laser alignment of pulleys, drives, and gearboxes.

Qualifications:

  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors and confined spaces.
  • Willingness to undergo MSHA training and comply with federal drug testing regulations.
  • Flexibility to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to read work orders and utilize tools effectively.
  • Technical training in heavy-weight conveyor systems is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and health standards.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport equipment.
