Job DetailsThis is a per diem position, and you can expect a 48-hour turnaround time. If you have previously worked at OHSU, please ensure that the recruiter includes this information in the submission notes. A reference from your NM/ANM from the time of your employment at OHSU is required.
Job RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and possess strong trauma and neuro ICU experience. You should also have a strong cardiac background and CCRN certification, which is highly preferred. You must be proficient in ICU skills, including neuro and cardiac care, and have BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. Expiring certifications will not be accepted, and you must provide two manager or supervisor references from an employer within the last 12 months.
Schedule InformationYou will be required to complete 4 unit + virtual EPIC orientations, which will include virtual Epic classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You will also need to complete unit orientations in each of the four units (CVICU, MICU, TSICU, NSICU) and submit a 12-hour shift time. Credentialing will take approximately 4+ weeks, and you must commit to a Tuesday start date.
Unit Specific InformationYou will be asked about your unit worked in, travel end date, and comfortability working in MICU, NSICU, TSICU, and CVICU. You will also be responsible for completing up to 10 hours of OHSU and specialty-specific modules independently before you will be cleared to work.
Additional DetailsThis position requires charting in Epic and scrub color is any. You will be working in the CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL, which includes Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU, MICU, and Cardiac ICU. You may have 1:3 staffing with acute care patients boarding in ICUs and may float as a Helping Hands to the Adult ED on a voluntary basis. COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended.
