Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Sonographer at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care services using diagnostic medical sonography. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional healthcare to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify patients using demographic identifiers and review physician orders for procedures to be performed.
  • Check for clinical information, expected dates, and procedural contraindications.
  • Perform ultrasound procedures using independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings.
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesizing sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Ensure imaging quality meets quality control standards and stay up-to-date with organizational, affiliate, and departmental changes.
Requirements
  • Credentialed Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Must obtain one or more of the following credentials with ARDMS: Abdomen, OBGYN, and Pediatric.
  • BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT in Radiology.
  • PACS experience.
