Job Title: Middle School Social Worker
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled School Social Worker to provide support to students at one of our partner schools in Waterford, MI. As a School Social Worker, you will work with middle school students (6th-8th) to provide special education social work support. The caseload is approximately 30 students.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to general education and special education students as mandated per student IEPs.
Monitor progress of IEP goals associated with mandated services through adequate participation in student IEP meetings.
Provide group and individual counseling sessions to general education students and special education students by monitoring the students' responses to the interventions identified.
Conduct collaborative consultations with general education and special education teachers to develop and monitor student responses to behavior intervention plans.
Facilitate educational and behavioral interventions recommended for student success through identifying community resources for students and make referrals to the appropriate resources.
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work
Valid Social Work license issued in the state of Michigan
School Social Work Certificate (SSW-310)
