KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to oversee agency functions and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Direct initiatives aimed at analyzing and improving conflict resolution strategies within Latino communities.
  • Engage with the Commission on Latino Community Development to provide insights on legislative matters affecting the community.
  • Conduct research to identify and report significant issues impacting the Latino population to the Mayor.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with non-profit Latino organizations and governmental entities to foster collaboration and support.
  • Develop strategic outreach initiatives to engage Latino constituents and organizations effectively.
  • Evaluate the impact and efficiency of existing programs and policies to ensure they meet the needs of the Latino community.
  • Support other governmental functions regarding policy matters related to Latino constituents.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in public policy, community organizing, or legislative advocacy, particularly within the Latino community.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to build effective partnerships with various organizations.
  • Proficient in analyzing policy effectiveness and developing innovative communication strategies.
  • Experience in enhancing service delivery for Latino constituents.
