Job Title:

Senior FPGA Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Designer to join our team at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital design, VHDL, and signal processing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality FPGA-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop FPGA firmware and processing algorithms for wireless communications applications
  • Conduct laboratory and field testing to ensure compliance with established cost, schedule, and technical metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver capabilities and support analysis, testing, and operations teams
  • Evaluate 3rd party IP and adhere to Systems Engineering process flows
Requirements:
  • MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as an FPGA Design Engineer or related positions
  • Strong knowledge of VHDL, applied to Quartus / Altera FPGA (Cyclone 4, 5)
  • Signal processing (DSP) knowledge - signal modulation and demodulation, FEC, decimation and interpolation, digital filtering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of debugging experience - oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer
