Job Summary

The Princeton Materials Institute at Princeton University is seeking a highly motivated Research Specialist to join our team in the Micro and Nano Fabrication Center (MNFC). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining our electron beam lithography systems, as well as training new users and supporting existing tool users. Your expertise in lithography processes and equipment will be essential in developing and maintaining process development protocols and electron beam optimization software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain 2 electron beam lithography systems, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
  • Liaise with service engineers for routine maintenance, service calls, upgrades to hardware and software, and develop and maintain process development protocols and electron beam optimization software.
  • Train new MNFC users (internal and external) and support existing tool users, providing guidance on process parameters and performing process development for baseline processes.
  • Support the daily operation of MNFC and assist with laboratory incidents.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the team lead.
