Casa Palmera is a nationally recognized subacute residential treatment center in San Diego, California offering drug rehabilitation, treatment for alcohol addiction as well as treatment for mood disorders and anxiety and trauma disorders.

We are seeking a skilled Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Therapist, you will work closely with patients, families, and loved ones to provide individualized treatment services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Services: Ensure patient safety, provide milieu interventions, lead psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups, facilitate clinical assessments, conduct individual and family therapy sessions, and other case management tasks.
  • Document Clinical Progress: Ensure timely completion of clinical documentation throughout the course of treatment.
  • Establish Therapeutic Relationships: Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and families/loved ones.
  • Case Management: Carry a case load of 5-7 patients, understand role in providing expeditious access to care for individuals seeking services, participate in weekly treatment team, and communicate weekly treatment goals with all team members.
  • Group Facilitation: Facilitate process-oriented and psychoeducation groups daily/weekly.
  • Utilization Reviews: Provide utilization reviews to insurance companies, providing appropriate clinical information to obtain initial authorization and continuing stay authorization, as necessary.
  • Communication: Be appropriately accessible to family members or loved ones, returning all calls and emails within 4 hours during business hours of operations and 24 hours all other times.
  • Crisis Management: Assess patients for suicidality and possibility of danger to self or others, and effectively manage crises in sessions and the milieu.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in relevant field, required.
  • Licensure: Completion of state requirements and state license to conduct therapeutic interventions, required.
  • Certifications: Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a current driver's license and be in good standing.
