Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you will work alongside experienced veterinarians and medical professionals to provide exceptional care to pets and their owners. Your role will involve supporting veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care, advocating for pets, and educating clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Support veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care, advocating for pets, and educating clients.
  2. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act guidelines.
  3. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Optimum Wellness Plan options, medications, and additional treatments.
  4. Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems, including Banfield's database, PetWare.
  5. Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  6. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  7. Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Requirements
  1. Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT)
  2. Commitment to delivering exceptional client and pet experiences
  3. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
