Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at JCK Restaurants Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our coffee shop, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Management:
    • Analyze sales performance, monitor controllable costs, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
    • Utilize labor effectively to meet budgets while maintaining high-quality service standards.
    • Execute company-wide marketing programs to drive sales growth.
    • Ensure business and personnel practices comply with state and federal laws and company policies.
    • Uphold company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure customer and employee health and safety.
  • Guest Service:
    • Ensure total customer satisfaction through the delivery of a quality product and excellent customer service.
    • Respond positively and quickly to customer concerns and correct problems before they affect customers.
  • Personnel:
    • Lead by example by working side-by-side with team members to complete tasks, including customer service, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and stocking supplies.
    • Supervise and direct daily work activities of crew employees while on duty.
    • Train, coach, and provide regular performance feedback to motivate and improve employee performance.
    • Make employment decisions regarding hiring, discipline, advancement, termination, compensation, and scheduling.
    • Evaluate employee performance and hold employees accountable for meeting performance standards.
    • Communicate team goals and expectations to all employees and coach employees toward achieving goals.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Model and promote all shared company values, including compassion, communication, and collaboration.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Skills:
    • Good team building skills and ability to guide and direct the performance of others.
    • Ability to comfortably interact with customers and professionally handle difficult service issues.
    • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve.
    • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written format with customers and co-workers using the English language.
    • Positive attitude.
    • Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic.
  • Effort:
    • Works independently and uses own discretion and judgment in executing duties and responsibilities.
    • Primarily standing, exposure to temperature extremes, lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing outstanding customer service.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a team/shift leader position (in a restaurant, retail, or convenience store).
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must be knowledgeable regarding employment law and Human Resources Practices.
    • Basic computer knowledge.
    • Food handler's permit required.
    • Must have valid driver's license and maintain proper insurance coverage.
