We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Generation Field Service Technician to join our team at Warren CAT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality repair services on equipment to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and diagnose problems with electrical power generation equipment, providing recommendations for repairs and making critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments.
- Follow all documented processes and guidelines, including Caterpillar guidelines for engine overhead measurements and adjustments.
- Generate service reports, required oil samples, and inspections, and submit them to dispatchers within 24-48 hours of completing the service job.
- Follow company and customer safety and contamination procedures, including MSHA guidelines for mining applications.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or three to five years related experience and/or training.
- Preferably an Associate's degree in Applied Diesel Technology.
- Clean driving record and a valid CDL license within 90 days.
- Successfully complete a Work Steps assessment.
- Be certified to operate a forklift and/or man lift.
- Complete certification of arc flash training.
- Must complete all EPG Level I training and/or demonstrated performance.
- Normally, we expect an employee to be at this level for 24-48 months.
- Need to work required overtime.
- May be required to pass a DOT physical.
- H2S, MSHA, and lock-out/tag-out certified as required.

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Required travel up to 30%. This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
