Job Title: Electrical Power Generation Technician

At Warren Power & Machinery, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Generation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality repair services on equipment to ensure maximum value for work performed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems with equipment, providing recommendations for repairs and making critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments.
  • Follow all documented CSA processes and guidelines, as well as Caterpillar guidelines for engine overhead measurements and adjustments.
  • Generate service reports, required oil samples, and inspections, and submit them to dispatchers within hours of completing the service job.
  • Follow company and customer safety and contamination procedures, including MSHA guidelines for mining applications.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or three to five years related experience and/or training.
  • Preferably an Associate's degree in Applied Diesel Technology.
  • Clean driving record and a CDL license within 90 days.
  • Successfully complete a Work steps assessment.
  • Be certified prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift.
  • Complete certification of arc flash training.
  • Must complete all EPG Level I training and/or demonstrated performance.
  • Normally, we expect an employee to be at this level for months.
  • Need to work required overtime.
  • May be required to pass a DOT physical.
  • H2s, MSHA, and lock-out /tag-out certified as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Required travel up to 30%.
