Responsibilities

As a Construction Inspector with HDR, you will be responsible for performing construction engineering and inspection duties on highway and bridge construction projects throughout the state of Kentucky. This will include materials testing, proper reporting, and documentation using SiteManger and other required means. You may be required to lead inspections on highway and bridge construction projects, responsible for all inspection and documentation, as well as managing other inspectors.

Key Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred, technical school or college beneficial
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of KYTC policies and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience inspecting transportation projects
  • KYTC experience preferred
  • Management experience a plus
