Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Public Health Nurse to join our team at Sacramento County CA. As a Senior Public Health Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing a variety of public health nursing services in a home, group or clinic setting, or in a specific program office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide public health nursing services to clients in a home, group or clinic setting, or in a specific program office.
  • Oversee and supervise a team of public health nurses to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement public health nursing programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Conduct health education and promotion activities to promote healthy behaviors and prevent disease.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure the delivery of services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of public health nursing programs and services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Current Registered Nurse license and public health nurse specialty certificate issued by the state of California.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a public health nurse in Sacramento County service or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Experience in program development and implementation.
  • Experience in health education and promotion.
  • Experience in community outreach and engagement.
  • Fluency in a language other than English.
