Job Title: Information Systems Security Officer

Moog is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer to support the Information System Security Manager in the operation, accreditation, maintenance, and upkeep of Information Systems used to process classified information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the ISSM in the preparation, update, and maintenance of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, including Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages, System Security Plans (SSP), and Risk Assessment Reports (RAR).
  • Perform periodic self-inspections and continuous monitoring of the IS to ensure systems and security controls are operating to maintain ATO status.
  • Serve as a Data Transfer Agent (DTA) and work with Media Custodians to perform file transfers in accordance with the Assured File Transfer (AFT) policy and procedures.
  • Identify and assess device classification risks and determine appropriate risk mitigation safeguards to maintain security posture.
  • Schedule, perform, and maintain records of required IS auditing, patching, maintenance, configuration management changes, and scanning based on evolving threat/vulnerabilities and customer compliance requirements.
  • Work with System Administrators (SA) in configuring and maintaining IT components to comply with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and DoD cyber security requirements.
  • Ensure ISs are operated, maintained, and properly disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO) to define, implement, and maintain information security policies, strategies, and procedures.
  • Conduct IS Security briefings as required and perform account management procedures.
Requirements:
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must possess a DoD M IAM Level I or II certification in good standing or be able to attain within 6 months of employment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Information Assurance (IA).
  • Knowledge of NISPOM, JSIG, ICD 503, RMF, and NIST Special Publications.
  • Proficiency with using tools such as Nessus, Splunk, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), Ivanti, STIGs, Windows GPOs (importing, testing, implementing, modifying, exporting), and PowerShell scripts for automated and routine tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CISSP, CISM, or Security+ CE is preferred.
  • COMSEC-related experience is a plus.

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
