Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Evening Surveillance Officer. This role involves monitoring a designated area to identify and report any signage and lighting malfunctions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular patrols in a company vehicle to observe and document any sign and lighting failures.
- Takes photographs and notes to accurately report outages and service issues.
- Utilizes mapping tools to pinpoint locations of signage and lighting problems.
- Assesses the extent of outages or service disruptions and communicates findings to management.
- Coordinates with various departments and stakeholders regarding service needs.
- Plans efficient travel routes to ensure comprehensive coverage of the assigned area.
- Keeps detailed records and logs of observations and actions taken.
- Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of company vehicles.
- Assists the Night Patrol Supervisor with various tasks.
- Creates maps to aid technicians and contractors in locating issues.
- Delivers necessary parts as required.
- Engages in other responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular interaction with supervisors and team members to discuss potential service leads and issues.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions and correspondence.
- Competence in writing basic reports and documentation.
- Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
- Capability to interpret safety guidelines and operational manuals.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to maintain visual awareness from a distance.
This position may require working in company vehicles. The role involves sitting, using a computer for data entry, and conversing via telephone. Frequent use of hands for handling and reaching is necessary, along with the ability to hear and communicate effectively. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level, and specific vision capabilities are required for distance clarity.
