About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Diesel Maintenance Lead to join our team at US Foods, Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of diesel mechanics in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of road equipment. This includes ensuring compliance with trucking regulations, maintaining accurate maintenance logs, and performing road rescue as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex diesel equipment issues
  • Lead a team of diesel mechanics in performing routine maintenance tasks
  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and document repairs
  • Perform road rescue as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years of experience in commercial diesel mechanics or relevant certifications
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $42 per hour, plus a $10,000 retention bonus. Additionally, we provide annual tool allowances, medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and flexible scheduling including nights and weekends.
