Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

A diesel mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of fleet road equipment including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. The role involves ensuring compliance with state and federal trucking regulations.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance within company standards
- Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
- Respond to road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience
- OR 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or refrigeration certification
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
- Successful demonstration of independent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in administering an appropriate PM program

The job requires workers to sit occasionally, stand frequently, walk frequently, drive occasionally, and lift up to 120-150 pounds (2-man lift). Workers must also push/pull, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, manipulate objects, and twist.
