We are seeking a part-time dog handler to join our team at LONG ISLAND GEESE CONTROL INC.

Job Summary

As a dog handler, you will work with our specially trained Border Collies to humanely deter unwanted Canada Geese from our clients' properties.

Responsibilities
  • Work with our trained Border Collies to safely and effectively remove Canada Geese from designated areas
  • Operate company vehicles to transport dogs and equipment to job sites
  • Participate in training sessions to develop and maintain skills and knowledge
  • Meet performance and reliability standards to qualify for raises
  • Undergo random drug screenings as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience with dogs, preferably as an owner or handler
  • Basic training skills and ability to learn and adapt
  • Willingness to learn kayaking skills or experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliability and strong work ethic
