At LONG ISLAND GEESE CONTROL INC., we are seeking a part-time dog handler to join our team. As a dog handler, you will work with our specially-trained Border Collies to humanely chase away unwanted Canada Geese. Available shifts are weekend mornings 6am-1pm, and a few weekday afternoons 12-7pm. Dogs and company vehicles are supplied, but transportation to work is not. Prior dog ownership or training skills are preferred, but not mandatory. Kayaking experience or a willingness to learn are required. Training is provided and paid for. Starting pay is $16 per hour, with raises based on reliability and performance. Random drug screenings may be performed.
