About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team at Balfour Beatty US. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a Culture of Safety: Develop and implement strategies to drive a zero-harm culture across the organization, minimizing safety risks and promoting a culture of safety excellence.
  • Lead Safety Initiatives: Develop, lead, and execute safety initiatives to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage Environmental Programs: Oversee the development and implementation of environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Develop Training Programs: Develop and coordinate training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Conduct Audits and Investigations: Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., environmental science, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety and environmental role, with a proven track record of developing and implementing safety initiatives and environmental programs.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
